Eleven Happy Years

Well, Davis and I celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary today. Sometimes it seems like it's been forever with all that we've been through together but then it seems like just yesterday. I have been truly blessed with the man of my dreams. He is an AWESOME husband and father. I couldn't ask for anyone better. There is NO ONE else on this planet that could put up with me. God knew what he was doing when he gave me Davis. Poor Davis drew the short end of the stick with this one. Our kids are blessed to have him for their Daddy. I love you, Davis. Happy Anniversary.

The Title of My Blog

I've always had this theory that people believe that couples should only have the average 2.5 children (never understood where the .5 child came from). I've found it humorous to watch this scenario again and again over the years. When a couple starts dating everyone asks "so when are you getting married?". They get married and the bride is still in her wedding dress and they ask "so when are you going to have a baby?". They have/adopt a baby and they ask "so when are you having another one?" They have a second child and they ask -- nothing. Now if this couple has a third child "they" ask "don't you guys know what causes that?". Don't get me started on the comments the couple will get if they have more than three kids.

We have now entered the last category. Yes we know what causes it (lots and lots of paperwork), no we're not crazy, brave, or stupid. I've tried to come up with a response to these and many other comments. I thought of this verse from Psalms. "Children are a gift from the Lord, they are a reward from Him. Blessed are those whose quiver is full." So Davis and I have been rewarded and blessed beyond measure and for this I don't have to explain or apologize.

DUH

Well in my excitement of sending my dossier off I forgot to include the pictures that are required. So last night we took a picture of the outside of the house and I ordered prints of it and of our whole family. Davis & I also had to send two passport pictures each. I got all of that together today and sent them to PLAN. We spent the afternoon at the park with Tawny and Xenia. The kids had a great time and I enjoyed visiting with Tawny out in the great weather that we had today. Now we just have to wait for the consulate to send the authenticated socuments to PLAN.

Dossier sent to San Fransico!!

Well Davis & I spent all morning yesterday getting the paperwork ready to send to the Consulate of Vietnam in San Francisco. Hopefully by early next week in will be sent to our agency, PLAN. It should be in Vietnam by the first week of MAY!! We could have a referral somewhere between June or August and should travel somewhere between August or November.

When we went to FEDEX to send everything I told Davis it didn't seem like it was that long ago that we were there sending our dossier off for Ethan. He looked at me and said "It wasn't that long ago".
