Oops!! I Did It Again!!!!

Well I went and did it again. I enrolled Peyton in public school!! I took him yesterday to be tested to see if he could go into the 4th grade or needed to repeat the 3rd. He is in the 4th grade!!! He struggles with reading but they have a reading specialist at his school. That is definitely an answer to prayer. They will work with him intensively and after Christmas will determine if he may have a reading disability. If he does, this specialist can adjust his teaching to fit his strengths. He stayed yesterday and had a great day. Two of his friends from baseball are in his class. I will post pictures soon.

Wrong End Ava

Ava found a pair of Olivia's shorts and decided they would make a cute hat. She was right.

You did What?!? She Went Where?!?

You are not going to believe this but...... I signed Olivia up for school at Pearl. I know, know, I said I was going to homeschool but it was not working. With as much attention as Peyton needs and as much attention that Ava demands I just couldn't get everything done. I signed her up yesterday and she stayed. She LOVED it!! She said that she wants to go to school there and that she doesn't want to homeschool. I left the school feeling like a complete failure but after she got home I felt better. Please pray that she continues to love it.

Olivia's 5th Birthday Party!!

We celebrated Olivia's 5th birthday today. We combined parties with our friend Lily again this year. We rented a water slide and a castle bounce. The kids had a BLAST!! The water slide was a HUGE hit. Peyton was the first one on and the last one off. We had a great turnout with all of our friends and families. The girls received some awesome gifts. I just can't believe that our little girl is five!! Enjoy the pictures.

Prayers and Encouragement

Well, I have decided to homeschool again (much to Davis' chagrin). He is supportive just skeptical. This will be our 4th year. Peyton has been such a challenge to teach. He attended summer school at a school that specializes in special learning styles. His teacher wasn't sure how he would do in a regular school setting.

What I need from all of you is your prayers and encouragement. I really want to teach my children at home but I feel so inadequate. Here's what you can pray for:

Pray for my attitude toward teaching

Pray for my patience with the kids

Pray for my self disciple problems

Pray for Peyton's attitude toward school

Pray that things begin to "click" for Peyton.

Pray that my kids see Jesus in me all day but especially during school

Peyton Is Home!!

Well Peyton made it home in one piece today. He actually made it home a little earlier than expected. He had a great time. They went swimming, rock wall climbing, tubing in the lake, and lots of other fun stuff. He said he definitely wants to go back again next year. The only disturbing thing is that he didn't take a shower or brush his teeth the entire time. YUCK!!!
