Olivia's Party

We had Olivia's 4th birthday party Tuesday night at Pump It Up. We combined with her friend Lily. Their birthday are about two weeks apart. They are both turning four. The kids had a BLAST. We had 32 kids there not counting Olivia and Lily!

More Referrals!

Our agency received 10 referrals today! They are expecting more soon. We could possibly be in the next batch. The amazing thing is that these families could travel as soon as the end of July! That is much quicker than the estimated 2-4 months for travel. We're getting a little excited here at the Wilson house.

Atrial Fibrillation

Sounds serious, right? Well it's the name of the heart condition that Davis has had for about four years. For the past few months his medicine hasn't been working so we went to see his cardiologist today. He recommended Ablation surgery. We have an appointment in two weeks to talk to the doctor who will do it. There is about an 85% cure rate for this condition after having this surgery. Please keep Davis in your prayers.

Still No News

I haven't posted much lately. We are still waiting on those referrals that were supposed to be here almost a month ago. Such is the way of international adoptions. The one certainty with adoption is the uncertainty. One good thing is that the families that received referrals last month already have travel dates.

One Year Ago Today!!

Well it's another "Gotcha Day" anniversary at the Wilson house. It was one year ago today that we got Ethan. It has really flown by. When we got him he was just past 2 and was barely walking. He has come a LONG way since then. He was our surprise adoption. We weren't planning on adopting again just yet but we fell in love with him on CHI's waiting child list. I wouldn't trade him for the world. Ethan has been such a blessing. He is the sweetest little boy.

Goodbye Daisy, Again!!

Well in a perfect world Daisy would have arrived home in Beijing about and hour ago. She didn't. After we dropped her off at the airport here in Jackson her flight was delayed for 2 hours which meant she would miss her connection in Dallas. Luckily my aunt lives in Dallas so my cousin John picked Daisy up from the airport. She stayed with them last night and they took her out on the town. She finally got to see a big American city. Her plane should leave Dallas around 10 this morning. I don't know what we would have done if she had flown into any city but Dallas. God was truly looking out for her. This picture is from her time in Dallas. I don't think she's missing us too much yet!

Goodbye, Daisy!!

We are all very sad today at our house. We took Daisy (our Chinese exchange student) to the airport for her return trip home to Beijing, China. She has been with us since the beginning of August. We are going to miss her SO MUCH!! She is such a great girl. She added a lot to our family. She should arrive in Beijing Monday around 8 am our time. We are really hoping she will come back to America for college. We love you Daisy and we are going to miss you!

Three Years Ago Today!!!

Well I can't believe it's been three years since they placed Olivia in our arms. Today is our three year "Gotcha Day" anniversary. It seems like yesterday that all 13 families were crammed into that very small, VERY hot room in Guangzhou, China. I remember we could hear the babies crying in the room next door. That sweet little 9 month old baby is now a feisty three year old and one of the greatest blessings in our lives. It's true what they say "time flies when you're having fun"!
